About the Founder
AtEase was created by Harriet M. Harris, a life alignment coach, author, speaker, and mom of four who got tired of carrying the mental load alone and decided to do something about it.
Who Is Harriet
Harriet M. Harris is a life alignment coach, speaker, author of Stop Stopping Your Success, host of the You Are Not Your Trauma podcast, and founder of the You Are Not Your Trauma™ ecosystem. She helps women stop abandoning themselves and reconnect with who they are, what they need, and how they want to live.
She is also a mom of four, a computer science graduate with an MBA, an IT professional with Fortune 50 experience, and someone who has spent years navigating the particular exhaustion that comes from doing all the thinking for everyone else while still trying to build something, show up fully, and have something left for herself at the end of the day.
"You deal with your trauma or your trauma deals with you. Healing is hard. Hurting is hard. You have to choose your hard."
Her work sits at the intersection of emotional honesty, strategic vision, and the courage it takes to keep going when life has asked more of you than you thought you had to give. She does not shy away from the hard parts. She coaches from inside them.
The Coaching Work
Through the Reclaiming You Framework, Harriet helps women reconnect with who they are after burnout, emotional exhaustion, identity loss, and years of putting everyone else first. The work is not about becoming someone new. It is about finding your way back to who you already are.
"I help women stop abandoning themselves and reconnect with who they are, what they need, and how they want to live."
The You Are Not Your Trauma™ ecosystem includes coaching, the podcast, speaking, and a body of work built around one core truth: what happened to you does not have to define what happens next. Rest, identity restoration, nervous system recovery, and becoming who you were before survival mode took over. That is the work.
Harriet's signature methodology for helping women reconnect with themselves after survival mode, burnout, and identity loss. The framework focuses on rest, rediscovery, and the slow, real work of becoming whole again.
A community-centered podcast that breaks down trauma, healing, and identity in ways that are accessible, honest, and human. Not clinical. Not preachy. Just real conversations for real people.
Harriet's book on the internal patterns, fears, and blind spots that keep women from getting out of their own way. Written from lived experience, for women who are ready to move forward.
Harriet speaks on rest, identity, breaking generational patterns, and the emotional intelligence it takes to lead yourself and others. She shows up to the rooms where women need to hear that they are not too much and not too broken.
Where AtEase Comes In
Harriet's coaching work helps women go deep. AtEase helps them get through the day. Two different tools for the same woman, built by the same person who understands both layers of what she is carrying.
"I kept telling women to rest. And I meant every word of it. But telling someone to rest when the to-do list never ends is only half of something. AtEase is the other half."
One morning, Harriet sat down and started writing out every small thing that stole her time and energy before she ever got to what mattered. Meal planning. Her kid's business ideas. Trip itineraries for a family that spans very different ages. Mornings that derailed everything. The list kept growing. So did the tools.
AtEase is 20 smart tools built around that list. Not built for a market. Built because she needed them, and she knew that if she needed them, so did every other mom trying to do too much with not enough left in the tank. The suite now includes 20 tools and keeps growing.
Each one built around a specific, real problem that moms deal with repeatedly. Not generic. Not one-size-fits-all.
One brainstorming session where Harriet asked herself what was actually stealing her time. The ideas kept coming because the problems were real.
harrietmharrismba.com and MyAtEase.com are connected by the same belief: moms deserve to be seen, supported, and given back the time and energy to actually rest.
From wide age range vacation planning to kid business ideas to the slang she could not keep up with. Real family. Real problems. Real tools.
